WHO DOES WHAT IN OUR CLUB?
We have had some enquiries about who does what in our club and how to contact them when you need.
Please refer to the attached listing (sorry if I’ve missed anyone) which will also be posted on our website and notice board at the club (we have not listed our coaches, team managers & other support staff as you all should know them for your own team I hope).
All these people are volunteers and as you can see there are very few compared to the size of our club membership (about 600 players).
We are therefore seeking people to help out in any way they can but particularly for
- Bar
- Canteen
- Fundraising
- Junior Football Assistant
We don’t need you all day everyday but if you have a spare hour to help out please let me or the person in the area you are thinking about know of your availability.
Even just little things like clearing your table or area on the oval of rubbish when you leave or emptying a full bin in to the Cleanaway bin if you notice it, can help.
Welcome to the web site of the Golden Grove Football Club.
Golden Grove Football Club commenced in 1995 with a smattering of junior teams serviced from an Atco Hut at Greenwith Oval. In the 12 years since we have grown into one of the largest clubs in the state boasting 23 junior and 5 senior teams in 2010. We have a world class oval in Harpers Field and recently acquired night standard lighting.
Golden Grove Football Club offers Seniors and Junior Teams. The Seniors play in the South Australian Amateur Football League (SAAFL) and the Juniors play in the North Eastern Metro Junior Football Association (NEMJFA) League.
The 'A' Grade plays at Harpers Field for home games on Saturdays at 2:15pm, 'B' Grade plays at Harpers Field for home games on Saturdays at 12:15pm and the 'C' Grade play at Harpers Field for their home games at Saturday at 2:30pm.
In the Juniors the Golden Grove Football Club runs 2 teams in most age groups from U6 to U16. The age group is determined on how old the player is on 1st January. Eg. If a player turns 9 after the 1st January, they will play in the under 9 age group for that year.
To play for our club, each player must:
1
Complete an club registration and medical consent form, these forms are available on registration day, or on this website.
2
Sign a registration form to complete registration with the Association (NEMJFA/SAAFL).
